Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis of schizophrenia using diagnostic criteria for research (DCR) of ICD-11 DCR (World Health Organization, 1993). 2. Psychotic symptoms rating scale (PSYRATS) – Delusion subscale score of more than 6. 3. Aged between years of 18-50 years of either sex. 4. Right-handed. 5. Patients giving written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Co-morbid neurological or any other psychiatric disorder. 2. History of substance abuse/dependence (except nicotine and caffeine). 3. History of epilepsy, significant head injury, or any neurosurgical procedure. 4. A patient who has received electroconvulsive therapy in the past month.

Changes in psyrats-D scores of persistent delusions after application of alpha tACS.Timepoint: After 5 days and after one month.
