Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of age above 18 years with unilateral symptomatic knee pathology 2. Patients who are willing to give consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Previously operated or partially treated patients for knee or ankle pathologies. 2. Inflammatory arthropathy. 3. History of significant trauma. 4. Patients with B/L symptomatic knee joint 5. Previous comorbidities (potentially harmful to the tendon) such as; past/present fractures, surgery, luxation, known neuromuscular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, fibromyalgia, spondyloarthropathy, and psychiatric disorders. 6. Patients with contractures involving the quadriceps tendon or Achilles tendon. 7. Patients with absolute and relative contra-indications to MRI

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To study Strain ratio of Quadriceps tendon in patients with knee pathologies using strain Elastography 2. To study strain ratio of Achilles tendon in patients with knee pathologies using strain ElastographyTimepoint: To study Strain ratio of Quadriceps tendon and Achilles tendon in patients with knee pathologies detected on MRI using strain Elastography at baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
3. To compare the strain ratio between the affected knee and ankle with the contra lateral knee and ankle. 4. To compare the strain Elastography at ankle between various knee pathologiesTimepoint: 1 year
