Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: mildly anemic with HB 8-11.5mg/dl willing to participate Living at Child Care institutions as inmates for at least one year can understand English and/or Tamil

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: chronic diseases like Tuberculosis, Endocrine disorders, Epilepsy, Nephrotic disorders, Gastro Intestinal disorders and abnormalities and Congenital abnormalities - are under day care and not inmates of Child Care Institutions - physically challenged - mentally challenged - IQ lower than 80 -have reported food allergies - no menstrual abnormalities
