Intervention1: Dexmedetomidine combined with 0.75% hyperbaric ropivacaine: 5, 7.5, 10 mcgs of dexmedetomidine is added to hyperbaric 0.75% ropivacaine Duration- 24hours Control Intervention1: Varying

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA Physical status 1and 2 fullterm parturients scheduled for elective lower segment caesarean section surgery under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Gestational age less than 36weeks patients body mass index >35kg/m2 active or earlylabour history of more than one previous caesarean delivery placenta previa ruptured membranes intrauterine growth restriction hypertension or preeclampsia diabetes or gestationaldiabetes any contraindications to regionalanaesthesia
