Health Condition 1: E119- Type 2 diabetes mellitus without complications

Interventions

Intervention1: Aloe Vera paste: 500mg Aloe Vera capsule mixed with 1ml of 0.9 percent saline to make a paste . Aloevera paste impregnated gel foam placed inside the socket immediately after extraction

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with controlled type II diabetes patients on medications. Patients with General Random Blood Sugar (GRBS) Presenting with teeth indicated for atraumatic extraction as a result of dental caries or periodontitis. Non smokers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Opposing traumatic occlusion or impinging teeth. Patients habituated to the use of tobacco and/or alcohol Female patients on oral contraceptives Patients under Systemic steroids treatment Type 1 diabetes Any other uncontrolled systemic conditions. Infectious diseases Previous chemotherapy or radiotherapy of head and neck Therapies with Bisphosphonates Immune compromised Pregnant & Lactating women Non-cooperative History of allergy to curcumin ,aloevera,NSAIDS and penicillin

MeasureTime frame
Pain-using Visual Analog scale Soft tissue healing index by Landry et al Timepoint: Preoperatively and Postoperatively on Day 1, Day 3 and Day 7.
