Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients willing to give consent for study, ASA category 1-4

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patient refusal, edentulous patient, mouth opening <2.5cm, past history of difficult laryngoscopy and intubation, tracheostomized patient, anatomical variation of face, jaw, tongue, palate, faciomaxillary injuries, burn contractures of face and neck region, cervical spine injuries, kyphoscoliosis, tumours/growths of tongue, epiglottis, pharynx, larynx, neck, morbid obese patient, patients with congenital deformity/injury/amputee of hands, ASA grade 5,6.

to compare sensitivity and specificity of the palm print test with commonly used other airway indices in prediction of difficult laryngoscopy and intubation, by Cormack and Lehane grading, in diabetics and non diabetics patients.Timepoint: from baseline to 5 mins(till intubation completed)
