Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Any adult consenting patient of undergoing distal gastrectomy for benign or malignant indication at Department of surgical gastroenterology, AIIMS Patna will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with Gastroparesis. Patients with previous gastrectomy, or small bowel surgery precluding construction of either form of anastomosis Patients with radiological evidence of carcinomatosis Patients who were admitted for emergency gastrectomy for complications related to the tumor
