Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Newly diagnosed patients with sepsis (according to Sepsis-3 criteria) >18 years, admitted in the medical ICU 2. Those providing informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant females 2. Diagnosed patients of cancers, hepatic dysfunction, severe malnutrition, immunodeficiency disorders 3. Known patients having hematological diseases 4. Patients on steroid therapy
