Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (18-70 years) with a BMI of 50 kg/m2 or more and ASA grade III or less who underwent any kind of landmark-guided, nerve stimulator-guided or ultrasound-guided upper-limb blocks, lower limb blocks or neuraxial blocks for upper limb or lower-limb surgeries will be screened for inclusion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing truncal blocks, who had failed regional blocks, any coagulopathy, pre-existing neuro-deficit, cardiac or pulmonary compromise, or renal disease

1. Type and length of the needle used 2. patient positioning 3. Block duration 4. number of attempts 5.Use of ultrasound or any other radiological modality to assist block 6. visibility of structures on ultrasound 7. adequacy of spread 8. block-related complications (vascular puncture, nerve injury, pain on injection) 9. success or failure 10. need for supplemental sedation or general anesthesia Timepoint: these will be recorded once after the block from the records
