Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for SSA/PHSI ?All individuals who have attempted suicide or deliberate self-harm or those who have high suicide ideation (BSIS score 2 in first five items) within the last 90 days and presented to study site ?Individuals of 16 years and above ?We will include all genders Medically stable patients with stable blood pressure, breathing rates without fever and intact orientation to time, place and person. Inclusion Criteria for Caregivers ?Persons who will be staying with the SSA/PHSI after their suicide attempt for at least six months Consent to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ?A history of intellectual disability and any neurological condition like autism and other pervasive developmental disorders causing cognitive impairment ?Symptomatic psychosis. We will include individuals with psychotic disorders once they achieve partial remission. A diagnosis of serious medical illness like end stage cancer, AIDS, less than a month following acute myocardial infarction and less than a month following stroke. Exclusion Criteria for Caregivers ?Paid caregiver who does not stay with SSA/PHSI ?Persons with psychiatric illness Persons with serious medical illness

Primary outcome measures will be group comparisons on time to repeat suicide attempt and completed suicide.Timepoint: At 6 months
