Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients body weight between 40-70 kg and elective surgery under general anesthesia and ASA grade 1 and 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patient not willing to gave consent and patient with anticipated difficultairway and laryngoscopy time more than 15 seconds ,obese individual bmi more than 30kg per meter square and patirnt with known allergy to dexmedetomidine ,chronic disease hypertension DM ,Patient on beta blocker

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine systolic blood pressure,heart rate, diastolic blood pressure between the groupsTimepoint: at just before laryngoscopy 1 3 5 7 9 11 15 30 45 min of intubation and just and 1 2 3 hrs of extubation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
to asses sedation post operatively between the groups to asses proportion of cases with complicationTimepoint: just and 1 2 3 hrs of extubation
