Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 3 to 8 years of age children belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade 1 and 2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Developmental delays/syndromes. 2. Deafness or hearing impairment. 3. Histories of allergies to drug. 4. Maternal mutism. 5. Absence of mother.

Incidence of emergence delirium (ED) as assessed by PAED score.Timepoint: After recovery from anesthesia, after 15 minutes, after 30 mins in PACU( post anesthesia care unit).	—
