Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: [1] Age 35 to 75 years [2] K/C/O T2DM for at least last 5 years [3] Four HbA1C measurements [one every 3 months]

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: [1] Age 75 years age [2] Has history of type 1 DM [3] Acute complications [ DKA and HHS] [4] Thyroid dysfunction [5] Excess alcohol intake defined by >40 g/day for females and >60 g/day for males [6] Previous malignant tumours [7] Chronic hepatitis and renal failure [8] Has hemoglobinopathy preventing correct measurement of HbA1c [9] vitamin b12 deficiency [10] Pregnancy [11] spinal canal stenosis [12] Patients on steroid treatment
