Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All individuals between 18years and 70years of both the genders with and without type 2 diabetes Mellitus 2. Patients who are undergoing elective surgeries under general Anesthesia 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status I,II and III

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient not willing to participate 2. Obstetric patients 3. Patients on chronic steroid therapy 4. History of dexamethaone allergy 5. History of peptic ulcer disease 6. Hepatorenal dysfunction 7. Malignancy
