Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children with Kannada as mother tongue and/or primary language of communication at home (proficiency in Kannada will be checked using LEAP-Q). 2. Children with schooling only in Government or Private Kannada medium schools in Udupi District.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of or presenting with any sensory (visual, hearing)/ cognitive/ neurological impairment (screened using Ravens SPM and informal hearing screening and developmental history). 2. Poor scholastic performance 3. Any complaints of speech, language and hearing impairments 4. Irregular schooling
