Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consent to participate in study, 20-35 years, Singleton pregnancy, Height 145-165 cm, ASA Grade II, Posted for elective caesarean section

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal, ASA III and IV, Placenta previa, Preeclampsia, Patient refusal

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation between baseline Perfusion Index and incidence of hypotension episodes following spinal anaesthesia. Timepoint: Before sub arachnoid block till the closure of skin incision.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
A baseline PI greater than 3.5 predicts the development of hypotension after subarachnoid block in parturients. Timepoint: 90 minutes
