Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Informed consent to be taken for procedure 2. Patients will be undergoing hip surgery 3. ASA physical status I & II 4. Body mass index 18.5-22.9 kg/m2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients refusing the use of regional blocks or negative consent 2. Hepatic or renal insufficiency 3. Bleeding disorders 4. Skin lesions at site 5. Infections at site of proposed needle insertion 6. Allergic to local anaesthetics
