Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers without any systemic illness and haematological disorders. Patients with hemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell disease and thalassemia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hemolytic anemia due to any other reason than hemoglobinopathy.

Development of a cost-effective Hb electrophoresis protocol which has sensitivity and specificity comparable to available gold standard method - Fully automated HPLC based analyser.Timepoint: 0-1 Months - Development of Protocol. 1-2 Months - Comparison of values for accuracy and precision check between Hb electrophoresis and HPLC based fully automated analyzer.
