Intervention1: Thriver care intervention (TCI) to fullfill the unmet needs of multiple myeloma patients and their caregivers: Intervention will be delivered in different session in information bookle

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria Phase 1 & Phase 2 (for patients): 1.Patients age more than 18 year 2.Newly diagnosed patients for at least 2 weeks 3.Patients on treatment of 3 months 4.Patients in remission, on maintenance treatment 5.Patients on follow up 6.Relapsed patients on treatment 7.Patients with stage 1, 2 and 3 8.Patients having recorded with full information Inclusion criteria Phase 1 & Phase 2 (for caregivers): Caregivers those who are: 1.Closely related to cancer patients (Family member- person who provide the most assistance like spouse, children, parents, and siblings). 2.Involved in the care of cancer patients at least 2-3 hours per day. 3.Aged > 20 years. 4.able to follow Kannada , Hindi and English. Inclusion criteria for intervention Phase 2(patients and caregivers): 1.Patients and caregivers as a dyad unit willing to participate in the study. 2.Those having moderate and highest distress and low quality of life.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria Phase 1 & Phase 2 (for patients): 1.Who are unwilling to participate in the study will be excluded. 2.Referred cases- those who are transferred to other health facilities and who cannot be accessed for an interview during the data collection period. 3.Patients with cognitive and mental problems. Exclusion criteria Phase 1 & Phase 2 (for caregivers): 1.Home nurse or appointed caretaker 2.Caregivers who will not be staying with the patients after discharge.
