Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with history of ear discharge diagnosed with chronic suppurative otitis media requiring canal wall down mastoidectomy with type III tympanoplasty, patients with intact stapes footplate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with pure sensorineural deafness, ear malignancy, revision surgery, congenital ear disease, unfit for surgery.

To assess hearing outcome following canal wall down mastoidectomy with type III tympanoplastyTimepoint: Postoperative assessment is done in 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 3 months.
