Interventions

Intervention1: Muscle energy technique Slow Eccentric Isotonic Stretching (SEIS) Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR): Slow Eccentric Isotonic Stretching(SEIS) Contraction point: At the restriction barrier
and short of the barrier of resistance in case of chronic conditions. 2.The subject will be asked to extend the neck by the instruction, “Take the back of your head to the back of the table slowly ?.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Subjects of either gender within the age group of 25-40 years. 2. Neck pain intensity on VAS: greater than or equal to 4 and less than or equal to 7.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any history of cervical spine trauma, fracture, disc prolapse, or surgery in the preceding 12 months. ? Neck pain secondary to other conditions like cervical myelopathy, Neoplasm, inflammatory or rheumatoid diseases, infections, and vascular diseases. ? Degenerative conditions of the cervical spine (cervical spondylolysis). ? Any radiculopathy with/ without neurological deficits.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.Core muscle strength using pressure biofeedback. 2. Pain using Visual Analogue Scale. 3. Cervical range of motion using bubble inclinometer. Timepoint: At baseline, 3 weeks.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Neck Disability Index for assessing function.Timepoint: Function will be assessed at the beginning of the treatment and at the end of 3 weeks.
