Interventions

Intervention1: Prophylactic phenylephrine infusion: Patients allocated in group P will receive 50mcg per minute of prophylactic infusion of Phenylephrine starting immediately after subarachnoid bloc

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Informed written consent 2.ASA 1,2,3 3.Posted for elective surgery under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusal to participate 2.LVEF 3.Uncontrolled hypertension 4.Allergy to the study drugs 5.CKD 3 or above 6.CLD with fluid retention

Difference in incidence of hemodynamic instability. Hemodynamic instability defined as either 1 or more of 1. Fall in MAP by more than 20% 2.Fall in SBP below 90mm of Hg 3.Fall in HR below 50/minTimepoint: Entire duration of surgery starting immediately after spinal anaesthesia
