Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >18 years2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (glycosylated haemoglobin >6.5g/dL; FBS values >126mg/dL)3. All grades of Wagner’s classification of diabetic foot ulcer4. First visit to casualty/outpatient department

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Recurrent/operated/previously operated.2. Patients undergoing long term treatment for other long standing podiatric issues like varicose veins, peripheral vascular diseases.

MeasureTime frame
To assess the awareness regarding foot complications among diabetics & its relation to glycaemic control. Timepoint: 2months

MeasureTime frame
Assessing the areas which the diabetics are unaware of & help design a targeted self-help brochure towards correct foot care. Timepoint: 1 months;To find lacunae in practice towards foot care in diabetics which will help in identifying the practices & deficiencies in daily routine towards foot careTimepoint: 2months;To gauge the general attitude among diabetics towards foot care. This will help in tackling misconceptions among diabetics towards foot careTimepoint: 2 months
