Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 18-65 years of age diagnosed with TMD were involved in the study. Patients with complain of pain, clicking, restricted jaw movements for at least 2 months were involved in the studyAll the patients involved in the study were taken according to the RDC/TMD criteria axis I. Patients who failed to respond to conservative therapy, patients involving Group III RDC/TMD criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients having uncontrolled systemic diseases and malignancy that could affect the treatment, history of previous TMJ surgery, and history of previously undergone arthrocentesis were excluded from the study
