Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Women between age group 40-55 years (all nulliparous and multiparous women) who are interested to participate in the present study and having perimenopausal signs and symptoms like Hot Flushes, Night sweats, Fatigue, Bloating of abdomen, Vaginal dryness, Insomnia, Arthralgia, Incontinence of urine, Memory lapses, Depression, Burning micturition, Hirsutism, Vaginitis or Menstrual symptoms (irregular menses, Heavy Bleeding during menses, continuous bleeding during menses or scanty bleeding, decreased duration of blood flow or others).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Women apart from age group 40-55 years and Women who are not interested to participate in the present study. 2 Women in perimenopausal period having Central nervous system disorders like epilepsy, meningitis, migraine or any other psychological disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Schizophrenia and others. 3 Perimenopausal women having respiratory disorders like bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, pneumonia, Pleural effusion, bronchitis and others. 4 Perimenopausal women suffering from Cardiac disorders like angina, myocardial infarction, congenital anomaly of heart & others. 5 Perimenopausal women having gastrointestinal disorders like appendicitis, cholecystitis, hepatitis, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis, diverticulitis, gastric ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome and others. 6 Perimenopausal women suffering from chronic systemic diseases like uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, renal disease, jaundice, Thyroid dysfunction or any other disorders influencing general physical health and ultimately influencing menses. 7 Perimenopausal women suffering from local infection like- veneral diseases (syphilis, Gonorrhea, herpes etc.) or other sexually transmitted disease like HIV infection 8 Women in perimenopausal age group with heavy bleeding due to any Coagulopathy or due to any pelvic pathology like uterine fibroid, cervical carcinoma, endometrial carcinoma cervical erosion, cervical polyp etc. 9 Perimenopausal women with any history of allergy or allergy from trial drug 10 Perimenopausal women suffering from any auto-immune disorder like- Rheumatoid arthritis, Myasthenia gravis and others. 11 Perimenopausal women for whom basti is contraindicated like patient suffering from any type of fever, diarrhoea, fistula and others.

Improvement in criteria listed in different scalesTimepoint: Total three (3) follow ups will be done at regular interval of 1 month.Two (2) follow ups will be with medication & one (1) follow up will be without medication.
