Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients belonging to ASA ( american society of anaesthesiologist ) physical status grade one and two. 2. Patients willing to give written and informed consent. 3.Patients of either sex 4.Age group 20 to 50 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with history of known allergy to study drugs. 2.History of consumption of antihypertensive drugs ,sedatives , hypnotics ,and antidepressants preoperatively. 3.Pre-existing cardiovascular disease , significant respiratory , renal and hepatic disease . 4.History of drug and alcohol abuse.

To determine the difference in changes in heart rate from baseline to different time intervals in two groups.Timepoint: 0,1,3,5,10 minutes after intubation.
