Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: POSTED FOR SURGERIES OF LOWER ABDOMEN OR LOWER LIMB OF DIFFERENT SURGICAL SPECIALITIES. CONSENT GIVEN BY PATIENT
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: NEUROLOGICAL WEAKNESS IN LOWER LIMB. ABY KNOWN ALLERGY TO LOCAL ANAESTHETICS. DERANGED COAGULATION PROFILE. RAISED ICP. LOCAL INFECTION AT SITE OF NEEDLE INSERTION.

Timepoint: The patient will be evaluated for sensory and motor block, for every 3 minutes for first 30 minutes, every 5 minutes for next 30 minutes and then every 15 minutes until the sensory block has regressed to S1 dermatome. | — |

| 5. Haemodynamic changes ( Heart Rate, Systolic Blood Pressure, Diastolic Blood Pressure, Mean Arterial Pressure ) 6. To find out any side effects/ complications like nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, hypotension. Timepoint: During the surgery the patient’s heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MBP), arterial oxygen saturation (SPO2) will be recorded every 3 mins for 30 mins and then every 5 mins for next 30 minutes, then every 15 minutes until completion of the surgery. | — |
