Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age group of >18 years critically ill admitted in intensive care unit 2.Only the first ICU admission during a hospital stay will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with amputation, surgery, neurological, or rheumatological problems involving the lower limbs. 2.Patients with skin lacerations or wounds in the areas selected for ultrasound evaluation 3.Patients readmitted to the ICU during the same hospital admission and patients transferred to other ICU/hospitals were excluded from the analysis 4.Pregnant females

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To find if addition of Quadriceps muscle length thickness (QMLT) to mNUTRIC score will improve the predictive ability of mNUTRIC.Timepoint: till day 28

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To find correlation between mNUTRIC score & Neutrophil-Lymphocyte ratio (NLR) 2.To find correlation between mNUTRIC / NLR and ICU outcomes - Length of stay (LOS) in ICU -LOS in hospital - Mechanical ventillation (MV ) free days at 28days -Renal replacement (RRT) freedays at 28 days - Antibiotic daysTimepoint: till day 28
