Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Phase I: 1) FGD: -Participants who will consent -Participants will include: • Faculty from the department of Medical Education, department of Medical Surgical Nursing, faculty from the departments of General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Hand Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Emergency Medicine and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. • Undergraduate medical students, undergraduate nursing students, post graduate medical students, post graduate nursing students. • Nurses from the surgical, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, critical care, cardiology surgical wards and emergency department. 2) Observation: -Healthcare personnels present in the wards and areas of the department of General surgery, Plastic surgery, Orthopedic surgery, Hand Surgery, Surgical Oncology, LICU, CTI and Burns ICU Phase II: -5th and 6th semester nursing students who are pursuing their B. Sc. Nursing programme in Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal -Medical students in the 4th year who are pursuing their MBBS programme in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal -Students who will be giving consent and are willing to participate Phase III: -5th and 6th semester nursing students who are pursuing their B. Sc. Nursing programme in Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal -Medical students in the 4th year who are pursuing their MBBS programme in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal -Students who will be giving consent and are willing to participate -5 % of the top scorers and 5% of the lowest scorers in the post test from each group (i.e. first group consisting of medical students and second group of nursing students) for the FGD
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Phase I: For the FGD, clinical experience of less than 1 year in their respective areas for the nurses. Phase II and III: Year back students or casual students
