Inclusion criteria: ASA grades I and II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not giving consent 2. Any heart block, preexisting hypertension, cardiovascular disease 3. Hepatic and renal disease 4. Allergies to the drugs used 5. Acute cholecystitis 6. Pregnant ladies and lactating mothers 7. Patients taking clonidine, methyl-dopa, beta-blocking drugs, benzodiazepines, MAO inhibitors 8. Morbidly obese 9. Open cholecystectomy
