Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 20 years to 60 years. 2. ASA physical status Grade I and Grade II patients. 3. Patients undergoing elective below umbilical surgeries under Spinal Anaesthesia 4. Patients with weight ranging from 50-80kg.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with coagulopathy. 2. Patients belonging to ASA Class >II. 3. Patients with body mass index >30. 4. Patient with known hypersensitivity to local anesthetic. 5. Patients with anatomical abnormality of spine. 6. Infection at the site of infection.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the efficacy of quadratus lumborum vs transversus abdominis plane block for postoperative pain relief in below umbilical surgeries.Timepoint: Pain score is assessed at 0,2,4,8,12,24 hours of post operative period.

MeasureTime frame
To compare the duration of analgesia. Timepoint: Time required for first rescue analgesia
