Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient age 18 -40 years Patients diagnosed with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis with or without symptomatic apical periodontitis Vital pulp status was confirmed before treatment Mandibular first and second molars The tooth was in occlusion with an antagonist. tooth could be restored via direct restoration. radiographically deep caries reached greater than two thirds the distance from the dentinoenamel junction to the pulp or exposing the pulp.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient age more than 40years bleeding could not be controlled after full pulpotomy within 10 minutes or bleeding could not be seen from 1 or more of the orifices indicating necrosis. the probing pocket depth and mobility were more than 3mm there was sinus tract or swelling
