Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 100 patients of either sex, aged 18-60 years, belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II undergoing surgery in supine position under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with 1. Refusal to consent 2. Known/predicted difficult airway 3. Cervical spine disease 4. Obesity(Body mass index=30kg/m2 ) 5. Pregnancy 6. Reduced lung compliance 7. Mouth opening 8. High risk for pulmonary aspiration
