Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Subjects of either gender between the age group of 18-55 years will be selected. 2.Subjects confirmed by TSH equal to or greater than 5.0 microunits per litre with or without associated decrease in T3& T4 . 3.Subjects of Primary Hypothyroidism on conventional medications will be taken. 4.Subjects who are fit for Vamana Karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects suffering from Congenital Hypothyroidism (cretinism)& Secondary Hypothyroidism. 2.Subjects who have underwent any type of Thyroid surgery. 3.Pregnant women & lactating mothers. 4.Subjects suffering from any systemic disorders which would interfere with the present study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
reduction in TSH level .Timepoint: 6weeks to 8 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in clinical features like loss of appetite, fatigue ,dryskin ,hairloss , constipation. And reduction in TSH values, bodyweight & BMI.Timepoint: 6 weeks to 8 weeks.
