Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA (American society of anaesthesiologist) grade I/II. Age between 18 years to 60 years. Any of sexes. Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia requiring nasotracheal intubation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any allergy to drugs of general anaesthesia. Known difficult mask ventilation or tracheal intubation. Anticipated difficult airway. BMI >25 kg/m2. Neck range of motion Mallampati grade score III and IV. Neck circumference > 40 cm. Thyromental distance Cervical spine instability or cervical myelopathy. Patients with history of respiratory insufficiency/ reactive airway disease. Patients with any nasal pathology such as symptomatic gross deviated nasal septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, epistaxis, recurrent sinusitis, polyps etc.
