Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients suffering from stage I Essential HTN (SBP: 140-159 and DBP: 90-99 mm Hg) as per JNC 8 classification. 2.Patients of 18-65 years of age and of either sex. 3.Illiterate patients will be interviewed by the investigators maintaining adequate privacy to fill up the scales or questionnaires. 4.Literate participants able to read and write English, Bengali, Hindi. 5.Patients providing written informed consent voluntarily to participate in the trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Diagnosed cases of Secondary hypertension, symptomatic hypotension. 2.Diagnosed Cases of type 2 diabetes. 3.Other uncontrolled or unstable systemic or psychiatric diseases and/or infections affecting quality of life. 4.Vulnerable population- Unconscious, non-ambulatory, too sick for consultation, differently abled, terminally ill or chronically ill, mentally incompetent people. 5.Pregnant and puerperal women, and lactating mothers. 6.Tobacco abuse or any other substance abuse. 7.Self-reported immune-compromised state. 8.Patients already on any antihypertensive medications. 9.Undergoing homoeopathic treatment for any chronic disease within last 6 months. 10.Simultaneous participants in any other clinical trial.
