Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parents with children having Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. The child should be under medication and between 3 and 15 years of age. The child should be diagnosed within 2 years span Parents should be the primary caregiver. Parents can be employed or unemployed. Both parents will be considered.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Parents with a history of any type of diabetes mellitus or any other psychiatric illnesses. Parents with another child having Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. Parents having children with another chronic disease. Parents who are doctors.

BRIEF COPE, Zarit Burden Interview, WHOQOL BREF will be used to study the coping styles, caregiver burden, & quality of life among parents of children with type 1 Diabetes MellitusTimepoint: 7 months
