Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of all age groups with clinically diagnosed periorbital melanosis who are willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients who have applied topical treatment for POM 4 weeks before the study. 2.Patients with confirmed cases of Diabetes mellitus. 3.Patients with familial pigmentation, atopy, post-inflammatory pigmentation, erythema dyschromicum perstans, positive shadow effect and other facial melanosis. 4.Morbid obesity-BMI >30 kg/m2 5.Pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
This study helps us to know various dermoscopic patterns in periorbital melanosis where certain patterns are consistent with a specific type of POM, this helps in better management & treatment. The study also focuses if POM can be an early cutaneous marker of diabetes mellitus.Timepoint: Assess outcome at end of the study
