Inclusion criteria: Acute febrile illness (fever >38.3?C for more than 48 h duration and onset
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients already treated in an outside ICU for more than 72 hrs. 2.Patient with immunodeficiency state (congenital oracquired); on immune-suppressants therapy (oral corticosteroids, combination chemotherapy); and with autoimmune disorders, malignancies or organ transplants. 3.Patients with pre-existing chronic conditions- chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, malignancy. 4. Anemia of chronic disease due to any cause
