Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consecutive adult patients ( >18 years of age) with type 2 diabetes mellitus (with Fasting blood sugar levels in the range of 130 mg/dL to 300 mg/dL) availing services from JIPMER Urban Health Center will be assessed for eligibility till a sample size of 150 is achieved. There is no upper age limit mentioned in my study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Evidence of renal disease (serum creatinine >1.5 mg/ml) 2. Pregnant or lactating women and subjects intending pregnancy 3. Participation in any other clinical trial within the last 30 days. 4. History of intolerance or hypersensitivity to Fenugreek seed powder/ Jamun seed powder. 5. Patients taking any oral herbal supplements along with oral hypoglycemic agents
