Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with Caprini score = 4 undergoing major gynecological surgeries for the following indications: a. Benign conditions b. Conditions with Suspicion of malignancy c. Malignant conditions 2.Signed informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with known contraindications for anticoagulants therapy. 2.History of venous thromboembolism in previous 6 months 3.Severe chronic kidney disease. 4.DVT/Pulmonary embolism prior to surgery 5.Severe peripheral arterial insufficiency (absence of a palpable pulsation in the dorsalis pedis artery), 6.Pregnancy 7.Allergy to radiographic contrast medium, acid sulfite or LMWH, 8.Hepatic insufficiency, 9.Acute stroke within the last 3 months 10.Gastrointestinal bleeding within the last month 11.Hemorrhagic diathesis 12.Patients already on anticoagulation treatment (including heparin, and vitamin K antagonists, but not antiplatelet treatment), 13.Thrombocytopenia
