Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Controlled Type-2 Diabetes mellitus with stable treatment for 3 months with HbA1C 2. Hypo or Normomagnesemia 3. eGFR > 60ml/min/1.73m
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) eGFR 2) Patient on Insulin 3) Patient taking magnesium[significant]containing drugs [e.g. antacids] in the past 4 weeks. 4) Patient on diuretics, proton pump inhibitors. 5) Urinary tract infection (in the past 1 week /at the time of Baseline visit) 6) Pregnancy 7) Breastfeeding woman 8) Allergic to magnesium supplement 9) Hypertension 10) Chronic Diarrhea 11) Known case of any Cardiac Disease, Chronic inflammatory diseases, Cerebrovascular accidents, Malignancy 12) Known case of elevated hepatic enzymes (more than three-fold over normal values.
