Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: With ADS according to ICD-10 Diagnostic Criteria for Research (diagnosed by consultant psychiatrist) Not currently in active withdrawal (CIWA-Ar score less than 10) Having a diagnosis of chronic alcoholic liver disease Giving written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those with other major medical conditions including delirium, neurocognitive disorder, severe diabetes mellitus, uncontrolled hypertension, chronic kidney disease, etc. Uncooperative patients will be excluded from the study.

Independent variables: Age in years, Gender- male/female, Socioeconomic status/Marital status, Educational status, Other substance use, Child -pugh grading, MELD score Outcome variables: PHQ-9, GAD-7 Alcohol dependence variables: AUDIT scores, CIWA-Ar scores Timepoint: Outcome will be evaluated at baseline and there will be no follow up for the study
