Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients in the age group of 18-65 years with midline primary ventral wall hernia, incisional hernia, recurrent hernia, with 2-8cm defect size (measured clinically) will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Incisional hernia > 8cm in size 2.Complicated hernia (strangulated) 3.Patients with significant co-morbidities like coronary artery disease, uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes mellitus, chronic bronchitis, renal and hepatic failure 4.Patients unfit for general anesthesia 5.Patients with uncontrolled coagulopathy 6.Patients who refused to give consent
