Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex, aged 18-65 years with American Society Anaesthesiologists’ physical status I- II. 2. Scheduled for elective surgical procedures requiring general anaesthesia with propofol as an induction agent will be enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient’s refusal 2. Patient unable to understand the acupressure technique 3. Allergy to propofol 4. History of cardiac, cerebrovascular, respiratory, hepatic, or renal diseases 5. Predicted difficult airway
