Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: i. All the fresh low landers/Travelers/tourists who had rapid ascent to high altitude ( >2400 m) in last 1-2 days. ii. Mild to moderate cases of AMS having minimum score 3 according to Lake Louise AMS score. iii. Controlled cases of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension. iv. Written informed consent from the patient.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i. Severe cases of AMS like High-altitude pulmonary oedema (HAPE) or& High-altitude cerebral oedema (HACE) or having score of more than 10 on Lake Louise AMS score. ii. On any strong other medications like steroids or prophylactic medicine for AMS within one week before enrolment. iii. Patients who are immune compromised. iv. Pregnant and lactating women. v. Known cases of uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, cardiac, pulmonary, or other chronic disease that would render them at increased risk of altitude illness. vi. Any pre-existing mental disorder or respiratory diseases like COPD, Asthma etc.
