Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients with compound fractures of tibia and fibula or isolated tibia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Co morbid conditions like sickle cell anaemia , blood dyscrasias. - Tibia and fibula fractures associated with femur fracture - Tibia and fibula fractures with associated knee injuries - Tibia and fibula fractures with other upper limb long bone fractures

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Platelet rich plasma will facilitate faster wound healing.Timepoint: Pictures of wound taken on every 4th day

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Fracture healing with PRPTimepoint: Serial x rays taken at 3 , 6 , 12 weeks
