Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study group -Clinically diagnosed cases of Oral submucous fibrosis -Patientâ??s willingness to participate. control group -Healthy Individuals without any known medical history. -Age, BMI, gender matched healthy individuals similar to study group. -Patients who are willing to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Study group -Patient with a history of known heart diseases. (myocardial infarction) -Patients on drugs therapy like procainamides. Patients with history of consumption of aspirin, narcotics or alcohol. -Patients suffering from arrhythmia, pulmonary infarction and stroke or under their treatment. Patients suffering from hepatitis, hypothyroidism, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, pancreatitis, muscle trauma, and muscular dystrophy. -Patient not willing to participate in the study. control group -Patient with a history of known heart diseases. To evaluate & compare the serum Lactate Dehydrogenase level and morphometric characteristics of circulating RBCs in peripheral blood smear among different clinical stages of clinically diagnosed Oral submucous fibrosis.Timepoint: at the time of patient presentation, blood sample will be collected.

To evaluate & compare morphometric characteristics of circulating RBCs in peripheral blood smear of clinically diagnosed Oral submucous fibrosis and healthy individuals. Timepoint: At the time of patient presentation, blood sample will be collected.
