Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of intertrochanteric fractures requiring fixation with DHS/DCS

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Psychiatric patients • Patients in whom stabilization with implants other than DHS/DCS • Any bleeding disorder like haemophilias, deranged international normalized ratio • Any previous history of adverse reaction or allergy to TXA • Congenital or acquired coagulopathy • Recent history of thrombo-embolic episode • Implant removal procedure
