Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Those patient whose ultrasonography shows any gradation of fatty liver. 2. Cases of fatty liver with presence of at least 3 symptoms of carduus marianus mentioned in homoeopathic materia medica. 3. Patients giving consent for the study. 4. Patients symptoms corresponding to carduus marianus. 5. Both males and females of 18-65 years age group. 6. Diagnosed cases of fatty liver, taking treatment from other systems of medicine, feeling no relief and seeking homoeopathic treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Females, who want to conceive, are pregnant or lactating. 2. Patients with any other severe systemic disorder. 3. Patients pursuing other treatment and are not willing to leave it. 4. Fatty liver complicated with any other serious disease. 5. Cases that need surgical intervention. 6. The cases requiring emergency treatment. 7. Cases of fatty liver grade IV as it a advance stage and present with other systemic disorder.

1 From this study, we expect that carduus marianus will give beneficial result in treatment of fatty liver cases. 2 Beneficiary will be the patients who will receive better treatment strategy as per shown in the result of study. 3 Clinical literature available on fatty liver will be enriched by this study & the results definiated to the fraternity unbiasedly. 4 This will be useful in enriching to the existing literature of materia medica, improve the knowledge of clinicians and will encourage future researches.Timepoint: The study will be undertaken for a period of 12 months, out of which cases will be registered in first 4 months so that post ultrasonography report would be assessed after 8 months interval.
